Sixty retail installment contracts, sixty insurance files, and one question the automated checks never ask. Run the monitoring pass and the number fills in.

Every policy in this book is verified. Fifteen of them do not protect the lender.

An agent reads each retail installment contract against the insurance evidence on file, decides the questions a rules engine cannot, and writes the letter that fixes it. Nothing is pre-computed: the exceptions below come from live tool calls, and no figure reaches the screen without the document section it came from.

A servicing clerk checking sixty files against sixty policies: the better part of a day. Here: under a minute.

What this console is. A lender requires comprehensive and collision on every car it finances, with itself named as loss payee. Tracking that is mostly rules, and the rules are easy. The losses come from the files that pass every rule and still leave the lender unpaid.
  • The screening pass decides dates, deductibles and missing coverage parts.
  • It refuses to decide who is on the loss payee line, who is the named insured, and which vehicle is described. Those are judgment, and half the differences are harmless.
  • The agent judges them, cites both sides, and drafts the outgoing notice.

The book

Deliberately dense: a real servicing book runs 5 to 15 percent exceptions. This one is loaded so every category is visible on one screen.
